Shadows of Authority is a hybrid sequence of short prose and poetic, scene-based pieces exploring encounters with authority, vulnerability, embodied memory, and resistance.

Marina Potanina (pen name: Marin Gabardin) is a writer and interdisciplinary artist based in Riga. Her literary and visual practice investigates ecology, long-term consequences of social vulnerability, «misunderstanding», experimental and marginal forms. Working across literature, contemporary art, and social research, she develops projects at the intersection of writing, sculpture, installation, and critical inquiry.
The text "Distance.26" is a hybrid work—a blend of found poetry, diary entries, and magical realism. It is a text about longing for a city that no longer exists (Königsberg, Prussia).
