Ghazifa Bashir is a writer from Lahore, Pakistan. Her essays and fiction have appeared in Monograph Magazine, St. Stephen's College's PostScript, Unearthed, Florescence magazine, BSP anthology, swimpress, jarida today, Yasco publication, and The Disappointed Housewife. She is the recipient of first prize at the Fanoos Competition, the FIU Adam Smith International Essay Prize (Second Place) and the GGAC Nigeria Essay Prize (Second Place), and has received Honourable Mention at Cambridge Re:Think. "The Chorography of Silence" is a meditation on what the archive forgets—and what the grandmother remembers.
